Makeup formats: define the product before choosing the formula
Our scope includes powder-based makeup as well as liquid, cream, gel, stick and other non-powder makeup formats. Face, eye and lip projects can be reviewed. Category coverage is not automatic approval of every formula, shade, component or performance requirement.
Describe the intended use and presentation clearly. For a powder project, specify whether you are planning a loose or pressed format and describe the proposed container or compact. For a liquid or cream product, include the filling size, desired texture and packaging reference. For a stick or lip product, describe the application format, finish and component direction.
Mark requirements as essential, adjustable or still to be confirmed. A reference product can help explain colour, feel or packaging behaviour; it does not establish an identical formula, test result or claim package.
What is the MOQ for private label makeup?
Makeup normally starts at 3,000–5,000 units per shade, per item. Each shade must meet its own confirmed minimum; the range is not a total that can automatically be divided across a collection.
For example, if a quotation confirms 3,000 units per shade for one item, a three-shade launch would total 9,000 filled units. This is an illustration of the calculation, not a quotation or approval for a particular product. A different item, shade or packaging choice can have different confirmed requirements.
Filled-product and packaging-component MOQs are separate. Printing, custom colours and non-stock components may require higher quantities. Confirm the product quantity, component quantity and any remaining packaging balance before comparing quotations. Below-normal-MOQ exceptions require explicit project approval and are not a standard offer.
Choose a development route that matches your brief
Some projects can begin by reviewing a suitable existing formula direction. Others need custom development around texture, finish, colour or application. Neither route removes the need to review packaging, samples, quantities and the intended market.

Approve shades and packaging together
Give each shade a clear reference and keep feedback tied to the correct sample version. Distinguish colour approval from texture, finish and packaging approval. A change to one element should not silently replace the agreed reference for another.

Sampling, production and manufacturing evidence
Sample development is normally planned at approximately seven working days after the brief and required materials are confirmed. Bulk production is commonly planned at around 30 days after formula, packaging, artwork, deposit and required specifications are confirmed. These are planning references, not guaranteed delivery dates; the quotation should confirm the actual schedule.

If some details are unknown, identify them rather than treating them as approved. The initial discussion should establish what can be quoted, what needs sampling or feasibility review, and which decisions remain open before production.
